History of Reliable Delivery
1994 - 1997
1994: Paul Alberts is brought in to oversee operations of existing courier delivery network: “Express Messenger Service”
1995: Paul Alberts initiates “free call” dispatch within organization to improve efficiencies and productivity.
1997: Paul Alberts purchases 50% of the shares of “Express Messenger Service” and assumes total responsibility for leading organization.
1998 - 2000
1998: In 1998 the organization is involved in an Initial Public Offering (IPO) which rolled up 17 delivery companies throughout the United States and United Kingdom.
1999 - 2000: Paul Alberts becomes Regional Vice President for the organization covering the East Coast and remains responsible for the operation in Detroit.
Paul's responsibilities remain one of the most profitable areas within the new organization. The former Express Messenger operation, through Paul's leadership, was continually awarded recognition for its growth, customer satisfaction and profitability. It was also frequently used as a training site for new companies being integrated into the national organization.
2001 - 2004
2001: The international organization offers Paul Alberts the option to “purchase” specific U.S. based delivery companies back from U.K. stakeholders.
- Mr. Alberts purchases 100% of “Express Messenger Service” as well as two other delivery operations combining into “Logistics Inc., d.b.a. Reliable Delivery”.
2004: Requested by a growing customer base, Reliable Delivery opens facilities in Grand Rapids and Flint.
2005 - 2008
2005 - 2008: Because of increasing customer demands, offices are opened in Toledo, OH servicing Northwest Ohio and Southern Michigan based customers. Growth continues to allow a seamless service experience for more customers across the Michigan border into Eastern and Central Ohio.
2009 - 2011
2009: Customer growth rose within the Grand Rapids market due to the gain of larger hospital network partnerships and increased delivery need in the downtown area.
2011: Reliable Delivery's customer base grows into Lansing, MI which enables the organization to begin set-up of operations and driver base. Growth also offers Reliable Delivery the abilities to expand into other developing service areas of need in Kalamazoo and Midland, MI.
2012 - 2014
2012 - 2014: Customer growth rises within the Grand Rapids market due to the gain of larger hospital network partnerships. Increased delivery needs in the downtown area of Grand Rapids allow for stabilized growth. The development of the additional service area of Kalamazoo, MI allows Reliable Delivery to penetrate Northern Indiana for deliveries on a daily basis.
2015 - Present
2015 - Present: The development of new customer needs throughout Ohio has allowed Reliable Delivery to offer package and parcel deliveries throughout the state. Deliveries now occur in Cleveland, Akron, Canton, Cincinnati, Dayton and Columbus on a daily basis.
